At a recent business trip, I was purchasing brief cases for the leather goods chain that I am part owner of. I was, of course, trying to get the best wholesale deal possible, allowing me to be able to purchase more inventory. I was a little bit nervous, as I am quite new to the whole business owner world.
I did end up getting a wonderful deal, which allowed for me to also purchase a small inventory of leather handbags, which I am sure are going to sell very quickly. I must say, I was pretty impressed with myself, as was my partner, who had stayed back to mind the business.
The inventory did, indeed move very quickly, prompting the scheduling of another purchasing trip. We are looking into expanding to selling oriental rugs in the store as well. We have had a lot of good feedback on the idea and are now in the process of finding suppliers that will ship on low quantities, until we find out if they will sell.
I have been mulling over a number of ideas for my kids for Christmas. There are many things that they need and many fun things that I could get, but my wife told me that this year we needed to be practical. Some form of clothing would be appropriate, but a game would not. I thought I could come up with something that was fun and practical, I just needed to think.
It took me some time, but eventually, I was able to come up with something. The kids needed shoes, and my wife thought that Crocs would be the way to go. But what I thought of is that they needed rubber boots as well - so maybe they sold closed in Croc shoes (at least that is what I hoped).
So, I took a look online and found my answer. They made closed in All Terrain Crocs that would make my wife happy and myself happy too. I didn’t mention it to her, but when spring comes, the kids and I are going to play in the puddles and the mud. If there shoes "happen" to get dirty, we can just was them off easily, and go get them dirty - seems like a win-win situation for me.
When I was a child, I was always the one creating different things out of building blocks. I could sit there all day creating many different and innovative things. I believe that from my early interest in building blocks, I have become the builder I was as a child.
Now, I don’t build buildings or cars like I did as a kid, rather I build businesses. For me it is as simple as finding a need, taking the pieces I need, and putting them all together to form a complete business.
Some of these pieces can include finding the right executives from a professional recruitment firm, putting them through a management training program, and getting the right e-commerce software solutions to build the company web store. Now, I don’t necessarily do all the work to setup the team, but I know who to talk to and who I can count on to get the job done.
Perhaps the best part about the business, is that it never gets boring. There is always something new to offer, a new need to be met, and new markets to discover. In some respects I feel like a pioneer discovering new worlds - and I love it.
One day, while I was looking at Zoloft online, I decided to go ahead and order it. This particular day, I was trying to get a lot of things done before Christmas and wanted to have the majority finished before the end of the day. I had needed to fill the prescription and I was already online, as I was ordering Christmas gifts for my family.
I usually took my prescriptions down to the pharmacy, but I had ordered generic Paxil from a website in the past and remembered how fast and easy it was. I never had any problems then and I thought I should try it again, as it wouldn’t require me making a special trip downtown.
I also remember one time that I went to the pharmacy to buy Prozac and I felt like the people there were judging me because of the antidepressants I was on. I haven’t felt like that since then, so it was probably just paranoia, but it still makes me more comfortable when it is people who do not know me, filling my prescriptions.
I have been struggling with asthma for a long time now. I have tried inhalers, pills, and homeopathic remedies with little success. I am getting tired of being poked and prodded. Thankfully, I think my doctor has come up with a solution - I just visited him today.
You see, he suggested that I should try a prescription of Ephedrine for Asthma. He said that the Biotek Ephedrine was specifically designed for people that had the same asthma symptoms that I had. Worst case, I could give it a shot - nothing else has worked up to this point.
After getting the prescription, I went to buy Ephedrine at the local drug store. The pharmacist was happy to tell me how to take it and what I should watch for in terms of side effects.
Well, after writing this post, I am going to take my first pill. I hope that that it works. I will give it about a month, after which I am supposed to talk to my doctor about my experiences. I guess I will have to wait and see how it goes.
I was thinking about taking a holiday and I was wondering where I should go. I have been al over the world and there are many great places to visit. One of my very favorite, though, has to be Spain and I think it is time to go back. I have always been very successful finding nice holiday rentals when I go there.
I was planning on asking a friend to join me this time. I think it would be nice to get a motorhome rental and drive around Spain for awhile. We would have a lot of fun. The particular friend that I am going to ask has not traveled much and I know a change in culture would be good for her.
We would also need to look into villa rentals, as she would need to experience the beauty and romance of the Spanish architecture. Yes, I think I will be going to Spain soon and I am so looking forward to it.
Even though our company may not be very big, I have been designated as the software manager. My responsibilities include ordering, testing and researching software that would meet our corporate needs.
This past week, our license for the registry optimization software we use expired. For some time now, we have been unhappy with the mediocre performance of it and were considering getting something new. What we really wanted was software that would keep the computer optimized, fix any problems automatically - so we were really looking for the best registry repair software on the market.
After a bit of research I thought I had found what I was looking for. You see, after reading a Regcure review on a blog I came across I was hooked. Simple interface, automatic options and high effectiveness were all praise notes in the review. I was just about to buy it, but I saw another link to another review. I just had to take a look.
I am sure glad I did. The link lead me to the Registry Easy review on their site. It basically had all the features that Regcure had, except there were more positive reviews about the product. Digging a little deeper by looking on forums, I found that Registry Easy caught and repaired more problems than Regcure.
So, my decision was easy, our firm ordered copies of Registry Easy for our computers. Most of my software purchases aren’t this easy - sometime I will write about my purchase of anti-virus software for our company - that was really nasty.
My niece, Danielle, is a wonderful and beautiful girl. I have always had a soft spot in my heart for her and I would do anything for her. When she was around 14 years old, she started having problems with her skin. I know it is normal for a teenager to have acne, but hers was not normal. Her mother took her to see a dermatologist that specializes in acne to find out if it was indeed normal for a girl her age. He told them that she had a very severe case and that it wasn’t normal, but it was common. Rather than being put on some prescription drugs, he suggested that they try an acne treatment alternative.
As, I had said, I would do anything for her and so I did some research on acne problems and oily skin conditions. I suggested that she start taking some vitamin B5 tablets. I informed her that they contained pantothenic acid, which was supposed to be effective for treating acne.
She decided to try this, along with the suggestion of the doctor to take Vilantae. This is supposed to stop the oils from reaching the surface of your skin. Using both methods together proved to be quite effective. Danielle is now 17 years old and is still wonderful and beautiful. But, she is now wonderful, beautiful and acne free.
The one thing I don’t like about website promotion is that it takes time. In fact, you can spend about as much time as you want promoting your site, and there would still be more things you could do. But, the time you spend promoting takes away from the time you can spend creating new content or creating new websites. In an effort to do both (promotion and creating new sites and content) I have been looking for a solution to help increase the amount of time I have available.
One method that I use quite a bit to promote my sites are free directories. I choose this method because of the price (free is within my budget) and there are and endless amount of directories to submit to. The worst part about doing a free directory submission is that it takes time - lots of time.
Now the time that I spend doing directory submissions is time I don’t have to make other sites or develop good content for my existing ones. But thankfully I found an answer. I found a company that offers a directory submission service - they actually do the work for you. Now, I am able to spend more time on developing sites, instead of working hard to promote them - and that is my favorite part of this business.
Technology today never ceases to amaze me. When I was a teenager, I was referred to as a "four eyed train track face." This was because I had to wear eye glasses and braces. It was a real blow to my self esteem and I always swore I would never let my children go through the adolescent torture I went through.
Lucky for me (and for them) they never have to. Although I don’t have to worry about it yet, because my children are young, there are so many more options available now.
Instead of glasses, people now can get laser eye surgery. It has proven to be very effective, and it eliminates the need to ever wear eyeglasses or contact lenses.
There is no magic laser surgery to straighten teeth. However, there is Invisalign braces, which nobody can see. They are rather expensive now, but if and when my kids need them, I am sure the prices will be more reasonable.
It makes me happy that my kids have these new technological options available to them and they will never have to go through what I did.
