I just renovated my bedroom and am so pleased with the results. It had previously been done in a Victorian motif with antique furniture. It was nice, but was certainly not me and I needed a change. I have four roommates and I tend to spend a lot of time in my room, so I wanted to feel comfortable in it. I replaced all of the antique furniture with contemporary furniture and was astounded at the difference that made.

I also had to get rid of the pink flowery wallpaper and put on a coat of white paint, but really, the contemporary bedroom furniture went a long way in modernizing it for me. Now, I love to sit in there and read or watch my new modern TV.

I guess I have always been a fan of modern furniture. Some people say it is an acquired taste, but even as a child, I liked the more contemporary stuff, even if it wasn’t as comfortable as the others.
