My friend got a really nice diamond dog tag and when I asked her where she got it, she refused to tell me. She said that every time she gets something nice, I have to go out and buy the exact same thing. This is just so not true. I told her that I thought she had really good taste and there are some things she has that I would love to have to, but I do have my own identity and she needed to quit being so egotistical before she lost a good friend.

The only reason she said that is because of the Joe Rodeo watch that she got for Christmas. It was a really nice watch and when I saw it on sale, I bought it, because it was a great price, not because she had one. At that price, I would have bought it, even if I had never seen hers before. She didn’t agree and thinks that I want everything that she has.

If she really thinks that I am that insecure than I had better re-evaluate our friendship. She thinks that she is all that and she brags all the time about her uncle and his wholesale jewelry business. I think that she is the one who is insecure and ha to make herself seem so cool and important. I am so done with her and her snobbery. I can do better than that.

Over the years I have attended numerous wedding ceremonies.  Some of them have been very extravagant, while others have been simple.  What has really interested me is watching how the couples fare after their grand day financially.

I have found that those couples that spend a pile of money on their wedding usually wind up having financial difficulties.  Quite often these couples spend so much money that they need to get a loan to pay for everything.  This can set them back a number of years while they pay it off, unlike couples that stay within their means.

On the other hand, even those couples that opt for something as simple as practical favors instead of expensive ones usually come out ahead.  Instead of having a financial burden due to their wedding, they can move on into their new lives without the burden of debt.

So, if you are planning a wedding, try and keep it practical and within your budget.  Saving some money on your first day together can make the rest of your life together that much better.

Getting a divorce is no fun at all. There is so much work involved in it, that I am sure that I will never get married again. It is sad that it had to end this way, but there were far too many irreconcilable differences that we seemed to have no other choice than to go out and get a good divorce lawyer.

My lawyer suggested that I get short term insurance for me and the kids until the divorce was finalized. I was covered through my husband’s plan at work and she suggested that he could remove me at any time without telling me. I could not chance that happening, as this would surely be when I needed the insurance.

We have actually tried to stay pretty civil with each other. We are, after all, still parents to the same kids and those kids do not need to see us fighting. They need to be loved now, just as they were before the divorce and we are both really good at that.

I was in the airport the other day and I needed some help with a few questions I had. I did not have a lot of time, as I needed to be catching my connecting flight, so I knew that standing in line at the customer service desk was out of the question. I thought I would try and ask someone else who was working there and see if they could help me. The cleaning lady had no idea, so I moved on.

I hit the jackpot when I asked one of the employees of the Philadelphia airport transportation. He was very informative and was able to answer all of my questions. It was great because the lineup at the customer service desk had only moved up by three people at this point.

I made my connecting flight, feeling completely satisfied with the answers that I had been given. I needed to write a short note, letting the company know that I had found this employee to be particularly helpful. I am sure that he had a lot of things to do and was having a busy day, but he did not seem to mind that he had to stop what he was doing to help me out. That is a great employee.

My husband and I have a friend that is employed at a very large printing company. They print all kinds of things there and it was interesting to find out that they print all of the NBA tickets. Our friend has actually been in charge of printing these and we thought that would be wonderful to see these coming right off the press. We would often joke with him about slipping a few into his pocket, but he assured us that it was not quite that easy.

One of the perks of the job, however, is that he does receive cheap NBA tickets. He gets a great discount, even if he does not get great seats. I really could care less about where the seats are because it is just exhilarating being there and being a part of the action. We love basketball and it is one of the things that brought my husband and me together. We are not really into any other sports.

We asked if our friend could buy NBA tickets for us. The kicker is that he can’t get the cheap ones for friends unless he is also attending the game. So, needless to say, he spends a lot of time going to games with us. We don’t want him to feel as though we are using him. We really do enjoy his company and we usually end up going out for drinks after the game.

I don’t know about you, but any contest I enter, I don’t win.  No matter how much that you want the prize, it is a fact of life that you usually won’t win.  I mean, if we did, we would all be rich and have everything that we want, right?

Well, it was my lucky day yesterday.  I entered a contest that the grand prize was a chance to travel Taiwan for a week.  Now, I have never been there in my life, so it will be a new experience for me.

But, before I go, I thought I would check out some of the best places in Taiwan to visit.  Sure, there would be a couple of tours around Taiwan as part of the prize package, but I wanted to see if there was something I truly wanted to see - who knows when I would be back.

So, I have a little list, but there is still time to come up with some other ideas.  It is only a couple more weeks before I get to go - and I can’t wait!

Some acquaintances of my husband and mine are going to be moving to Africa to become missionaries. As a result of this, they have a lot of things that they need to get rid of and asked if we would like to come and take a look at what they were selling. I decided that it was a good idea, as I was in the market for some office chairs, and I knew they had some nice ones.

They had previously run a counseling business from their home, so they had some really nice home office furniture. I loved their office and wanted all of the furniture. Unfortunately, this was not a practical idea, as our home office space was much smaller than the office space that they had set up in their home. This was due to the fact that we were not running a business from ours and it had to only accommodate the two of us.

We decided which pieces of the office furniture that we liked best and decided to go with those. I definitely wanted a couple of the chairs and the computer desk was very nice as well. We ended up fitting all of our purchases into our office and it looks really good. I am glad we decided to go to the sale.

Well, I must be getting old.  You see, I was watching a movie this afternoon and I guess I must have fallen asleep.  I can remember the part about twenty minutes into the movie, but beyond that, I have no recollection.

But I do remember waking up in a cold sweat.  I remember having a nightmare of my days back in college.  You see, I have a fear of writing dissertations, and I found myself doing thesis writing in my bad dream.

Now, it wasn’t a short dissertation either.  In fact, it was a fifty page essay on catfish.  I don’t know what was up with that, but whatever.

So, I just hope that I don’t have anymore weird nightmares.  I am going to bed soon, and hopefully that is the last of my bad dreams about college - because I had some good times back in those days.

I was browsing through a health related magazine the other day, when I cam across an advertisement for GBG. The benefits listed were tremendous and I decided that I would look into this a little bit more. I knew that some of the health issues that it was supposed to help were some that I was definitely suffering from.

When I did a little bit more digging, I realized that this was actually vitamins, so I wanted to find out exactly why it was any better than the other liquid vitamins available on the market. I went to a web page that was promoting the product and was very surprised at what I came up with.

There is no reason that this product is any better than other liquid vitamins. What this product does have behind it is an MLM and it is more about signing people up to sell it than it is about actually selling the vitamins themselves. I decided right there that I wanted nothing to do with it, but that maybe I should try some liquid vitamins if they are really that good. Perhaps a brand from the drugstore will do.

The thing that I was dreading most about going to college was the many term papers that I was going to have to write. I was really good at doing research and in my head, I could put the information together logically, but when it came to putting it on paper that was another story. It never quite turned out as I had imagined it would.

My parents had even hired someone to help me learn to write better research papers. She really tried to help, but maybe I just cannot be helped. I tried so hard, and my grades on everything else were exceptional. I just could not write a good paper to save my life and I knew there would be many of them to write in college.

I remember the first essay I ever wrote. I thought I had done such a nice job and I had worked so hard on it. But, I got a really poor grade. I went to speak to the teacher to find out why. When she started explaining it, it made perfect sense. That is when I realized that I had a problem. In the end, it did not improve much, but I somehow got into college anyway. Now, I will be attending my first class and I am dreading the first essay I have to write. They will not be near as understanding as the teachers were in high school.
