When I was in high school, I was not at all sure what I wanted to do with my life. I thought that I might be an accountant, as I had always been good with numbers, but the more I thought about it, the more I didn’t like the thought of doing it for the rest of my life.
I knew that I needed to do something with finances and I went to talk to a guidance counselor about my options. She suggested that I take several finance courses during my first year of college and make my decision from there.
Never in a million years would I have thought that I would be spending my working years counseling people about debt consolidation loans. But, that is exactly what I am doing and I really do enjoy it. I feel like I am helping people who are hopeless and that makes the job worthwhile.
