Choosing a length for your hair can be found troublesome. It isn’t always easy getting it just right. It varies from person to person. One length that is great on one person might be horrible on another. No matter who you are, you want to have the best length that looks great on you.

Keeping curly hair short can be difficult yet easy. With short hair, no more than 5 inches long, can be easy to take care of for several reasons. First of all, because it’s so short, it’s always the healthiest hair possible. With less than 5 inches you are constantly getting new growth. This helps your hair to behave better.

Also, short hair tends to curl better. There is less hair there to weight it down. This can be a problem to get it just right though because you don’t want it to end up looking like an afro.

If you are considering cutting your hair really short, talk with your hairdresser about exactly what you want. Make sure it’s something that you can easily maintain and that will look right. Be careful cutting it too short make sure you want to because even though you can grow it again, there will be that awkward in between stage.

Medium or shoulder length hair is great for curls. It almost always works. It’s long enough to keep from getting an afro, as long as it’s not too curly, but short enough it won’t pull out the curls or get in the way. Experiment with different layers and lengths to get the look you want.

Long curly hair can be very beautiful, but it is also much harder to get where you want it and maintain it. As your hair gets longer, the ends get older and older. You should stay away from heat and dye as much as possible and get a balance between growing it out and trimming off the dead ends.

Make sure you give your curls as much moisture as possible, especially if you are trying to grow it long. Keeping it moisturized will keep it healthy and looking its best. Trim off the split ends and the dead ends to keep it looking beautiful.

Long hair poses some other problems as well. If your hair isn’t really curly, long hair can end up pulling the curls straight because if the weight. If it’s really frizzy, you could end up with a giant poof. You can grow it long, just be prepared to have extra products to keep it under control.
