Pay per click marketing is an ever growing and continuous arsenal for alot of marketers around the world. Whether you have a small business or a large business, buying a search engine placement definitely be advantageous. Why compete in an ongoing battle against SEO experts, who have so much more experience, and are committed to dominating search engine rankings everyday.

Don’t compete… Beat your competition by making use of Pay Per Click advertising!

Testing Your Niche In The Market…

If you’ve never tried a PPC campaign, a great idea is to begin with a small budget so you can test your market place.

Testing helps you to find out what your ‘future customers’ are looking for. Google is a great place to test a new campaign. When you place an ad with Google, you’ll end up with an ad in the ’sponsored links’ search results.

If you’ve never seen these small ads within Google, go to Google and type in a search term. If you type in “web design” in google’s search engine, you will no doubt get the regular/organic results on the left, as well as the list of sponsored links off to the right and above the organic results.

Please do yourself a favor and treat yourself to a little ad within Google so you can learn the ropes, but be careful. Placing an advertisement sounds easy in theory, but you must be in control of daily spend limits. Set a budget and be prepared to invest in clicks/traffic to test your niche. You need to determine the keywords and phrases that your target customer base are typing in Google when it comes to your product or service.

You can try and guess these words, but your far better off using online tools and software to give you an inside look into a niche. There are free tools like the keyword tool within your Adwords account, then there is state of the art software programs like Google Cash Detective 2 that virtually spy on your competition and save you testing a niche.

I think keyword research is critical, if you have a limited advertising budget. You need to dig down into your niche and construct a keyword list with on high search volume and relatively low marketing competition.

Once you’ve loaded your keywords into your Pay Per Click campaign, Google will give each keyword phrase a quality score. Google determines this score based on how relevant they see your offer, in relation to your keywords. Your goal is to get the highest possible score for your keyword phrases. If your quality score is higher, then you have more chance of Google giving you cheaper traffic and better ad placement

Good luck, Lynne Carey
