One of my dreams since I was a young child was to own my own business. For some kids, that is mostly a common dream, but I wanted mine to be slightly different - I wanted to be in a position to help other people.
At an early age, it was evident that I would work in the health industry in some capacity, but I really didn’t know exactly what I was going to do. It was at this point in my life I was introduced to wheat grass (and later I would use barley grass) and I thought that I could help the world with alternative medicine.
What I didn’t realize is that years later, I would be placing orders for chlorella and spirulina for my new health food store.
Needless to say, it has been a great journey, and I can’t wait to see how well the store does in its’ first week.
Though the thought of not having to wear glasses anymore gets me excited, it is also a scary thing. I don’t quite like the idea of a laser shining into my eye which is what happens when you get LASIK eye surgery.
I guess for myself, I needed to find out whether or not the LASIK risks were worth the benefits. Sure, I would like to get rid of my glasses just like everyone else, but what if something were to go wrong, I would hope that the problem wouldn’t be catastrophic.
One of my main concerns about the whole procedure is that it doesn’t fully correct my vision and that I would still have to wear corrective lenses or glasses. According to some of the LASIK side effects I have read about, that is a distinct possibility.
It doesn’t help that I am really picky about my vision, and if it even changes a little, I need to change my prescription lenses. I think that I might go in to talk to a specialist before I get the surgery done - I need all the answers before I go through with it.
One of the biggest things that scares me as I get older is that eventually, I will get some gray hair and wrinkles. So, I have been trying to make sure that I make healthy choices when it comes to eating.
In fact, I have been trying to make sure that my diet includes antioxidant foods such as those found in strawberries, blueberries, and beets.
Sure, this type of diet costs a bit more money, but my health and youthfulness is worth every penny!
For the last couple of years, I don’t know what was wrong with me. I was always very lethargic, and I didn’t have much energy. I couldn’t get much done, let alone hold down a full time job. It was to the point where even the doctors were stumped - but I didn’t want to concede that my life would have to be like this.
So, what I did was go to a homeopathic doctor to see what they thought. As it turns out, he told me that my body was full of toxins, and that it was affecting my energy levels - I needed to get rid of them and then I would be better.
He suggested that I try out using Zeolite, a substance that traps toxins for safe removal from the body. It didn’t take me long to decide that I would - worst case it wouldn’t do anything for me.
Now, almost a year later, I am a new man. I am full of energy and I feel better than I have in my whole life. It worked the way it was supposed to, and I feel better now, with no more toxins in my body. It is nice to have energy again.
When I first moved away from my parents, I was stunned at how much it was going to cost me to live. I had never had to worry about things like medical insurance and dental coverage and I don’t think that I really understood how much my parents had given up so that we did not have to worry about it.
I have been wearing braces for several years and I knew that visiting a dentist on a regular basis was absolutely necessary. We had always had Ameriplan coverage and I had never thought anything of it before. But, now that I had to pay for it myself, it was a whole other story.
I ended up getting myself onto a discount dental benefit and was able to afford to keep taking care of my teeth. I feel like this is only one hurdle and I know if I knew then what I know now, I never would have moved out.
I was invited to an in home spa and, though I am not usually a big fan of such things, I decided that I should go and show support to my friend that was hosting the event. I was not planning to enjoy the products at all, but I ended up being pleasantly surprised.
The products that had the most appeal to me were the aromatherapy products. The scents were amazing and I really did feel like I was relaxed. I knew that it was something that I could get used to after a long day at work.
I bought more at that spa party than I ever have at an at-home catalog event than I ever have before. I am enjoying my products immensely and I think that I will now be a customer for life. I am even considering hosting a spa in my own home and this is something that I never do.
We were very lucky to have our first child William. You see, the pregnancy was full of complications and we nearly lost him a couple of times. But when I heard him cry for the first time, all of that seemed so far away.
But, as it turned out, we were not in the clear. In fact, our problems were going to continue for awhile. After the first night in the hospital when he stopped breathing, we were told that he had sleep apnea, and we would have to keep a watchful eye on him.
Having no idea what that meant, we sat down with our doctor to ask what his condition meant for both his and our lives. He told us that we would need to use a sleep apnea machine and he would have to wear a sleep apnea mask every night to make sure that he wouldn’t quit breathing.
Thankfully, there was a CPAP Supply company in town and we picked up all the needed equipment before we brought our son home. Hopefully, he will outgrow his condition and won’t have to use it for the rest of his life.
You know the kid in school that everyone avoided because of his excessive sweating? Well, it wasn’t his fault. He probably had a disorder called hyperhidrosis which affects the hands, feet, or arm pits and causes the sweat glands to not shut down when they should.
This is really an embarrassing issue for those poor people who have it. Many have tried medication and other treatments with little or no luck. However, recently, botox treatments have been found to help.
When it comes to botox hyperhidrosis is helped by the Botox binding to the nerves in the treatment area and reduces sweating for up to twelve months. So, while it not a cure, it is better than nothing at all for those who suffer from it.
From reports in spa magazines, when it comes to botox London is a real up and coming in the commodity of treatments, so if you live there, you should have some great resources.
Since my kids were born I’ve had really painful acne. I’m in my mid 30s and acne was not a problem in high school so this is not only painful but somewhat embarrassing too.
My skin was beautiful and clear except for a hormonal pimple once a month or so. Now, I have acne all over my face and sometimes down onto my chest and around my hairline. It is painful too. I heard about a place called Skinovative Phoenix where they have light treatment for this kind of acne. It targets the sores and only the sores and is non invasive and painless. Actually, for acne treatment Phoenix seems to be among the top in the nation according to what I’ve been reading so I’m not surprised to see this innovative approach to a painful subject for many of us.
Another thing my kids might have brought on, or at least made worse for me, is cellulite. I remember having it a little bit just before I had my first child, but it is out of control now after 2 kids and a real lack of exercise. For fat and cellulite reduction Phoenix seems to be a big contender too with non invasive treatments that are as good as liposuction.
I met one of my heroes the other day. It was a man by the name of Doctor Kramer and the reason he is important to me is because he did the surgery when I had my kidney transplant. He was really amazing with me and he explained everything he was going to do and reassured me so that I would not be scared.
He is a big name in the medical community and is one of the top rated transplant surgeons in the country. He does many of them and has an extremely high success rate. I am sure that my story is only one of thousands and I am sure there are thousands out there that are as grateful to this man as I am.
Dr. Kramer is one of those people that you just trust as soon as you meet him. He is both serious and easy going and I know that I owe my life to him. I only wish that there was a way to put into words how I feel about him. But, really there is no way of saying thanks enough for someone who saves your life.
